CVE Data May Be Inaccurate : Failed to retrieve metadata from the registry

Issue

  • Scanning for registry.redhat.io images is not happening.
  • With roxctl image scan also it fails to produce CVE results and throws the below error.
Error: rpc error: code = Internal desc = image enrichment error: error getting metadata for image: registry.redhat.io/rhel8/buildah:8.6-20 error: getting metadata from registry: "manual registry.redhat.io": Failed to get the manifest digest : invalid checksum digest format
  • Some images do get scanned from the different registries.

  • Red Hat Advance Cluster Security for Kubernetes 3.71
