How do I remove a static IPv6 address with Network Manager if the ipv6.gateway is also defined?

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • When I try to remove the static IPv6 address with nmcli I receive the error message: "ipv6.gateway: gateway cannot be set if there are no addresses configured"
  • If the ipv6.gateway is statically defined the nmcli connnection modify <connection-profile> -ipv6.address return an error message.
  • nmcli connnection modify <connection-profile> -ipv6.address doesn't work.
  • How to remove a static IPv6 address with Network Manager if the ipv6.gateway is also defined?
