Why wasn't dead.letter file generated in the sender's home directory.

Issue

• I am using sendmail in my host.
• When a mail with a wrong recipient is sent from a local user with mailx command, the dead.letter file should be generated in the sender's home directory.
• But, it was not created on my host. Why did it happen?
