Red Hat Single Sign-On (RH SSO) authentication for RHEV Manager not working. Error presented on the RHV-M UI/Webadmin login page, "Missing parameter: 'params'.

Environment

  • Red Hat Virtualization Manager 4.5
  • Red Hat Single Sign-On 7.5.2.GA

Issue

  • Unable to configure RH SSO authentication for RHEV Manager.

  • Followed the instruction that are documented in the Administration Guide to configure RH SSO for authentication to the Red Hat Virtualization Manager.

  • When attempting to sign in, there does not appear to be any redirection to SSO, and an error is presented on the login page, "Missing parameter: 'params'.

Resolution

  • Move the /etc/httpd/conf.d/ovirt-sso.conf to another location.
  • Restart httpd and ovirt-engine services.

Root Cause

  • Kerberos authentication for the RHV-M UI/Webadmin was previously configured.

  • The file /etc/httpd/conf.d/ovirt-sso.conf still existed.
