NFS automount filesystem containing current view to time out, causing updir in nautilus.

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Nautilus remounts the parent directory after the auto.master timeout has passed
  • If there are no files on the NFS share open on the workstation running Nautilus it will directly go to the parent directory after auto.master timeout.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux release 8.6
  • nautilus-3.28.1-15.el8.x86_64
