Negative counts appearing on destinations on AMQ Management Console

Issue

  • Negative counts appear on the A-MQ Management Console, also in artemis queue stat command output:
$ broker780/bin/artemis queue stat
NAME                  CONSUMER_COUNT  MESSAGE_COUNT  MESSAGES_ADDED  DELIVERING_COUNT  MESSAGES_ACKED
QUEUE1                         2               0              21              0                 21
QUEUE2                         2               -7             17              0                 24

  • We are using replication and mirroring and have notice AMQ 7 shows -ve message count on the mirror node's management console

This is due to different causes, and they depend on the product version
