Openshift console login doesn't ask to change the password with the Red Hat IDM as an authentication provider in RHOCP 4

Environment

  • Red Hat Openshift Container Platform 4

Issue

  • Red Hat Openshift Container Platform configured with the Red Hat IDM as an authentication provider doesn't ask to change the password and logging in instantly while login for the first time from console.

Root Cause

  • In IPA this is not possible yet as the password policy is a kerberos password policy, Please see this Bug for more details.
