Error "Instance ID not found. Is this a EC2 instance?" in a monitoring operation of an AWS resource
Issue
One RHEL cluster resource that uses an AWS resource agent returned the following error in a monitoring operation:
- vip_myresource_monitor_60000 on mynode01 'not running' (7): call=33, status=complete, exitreason='Instance ID not found. Is this a EC2 instance?'
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 8, 9 (with the High Availability Add On) deployed in an AWS infrastructure.
