Cluster service is unable to mount GFS2 filesystem and shows error - 'gfs_controld[xx]: join: jid, first and id are reserved options'

Issue

  • We have configured a cluster service with GFS2/clusterfs resource, but the cluster is unable to start the service and shows following errors in logs:

    rgmanager[3047]: Recovering failed service service:ser1
    rgmanager[5936]: [clusterfs] mounting /dev/dm-6 on /lv_ora_mnt
    rgmanager[5958]: [clusterfs] mount -t gfs2 -o rw,noatime,nodiratime,localflocks,hostdata=jid=0 /dev/dm-6 /lv_ora_mnt
    gfs_controld[2912]: join: jid, first and id are reserved options
    rgmanager[6034]: [clusterfs] mounting /dev/dm-6 on /lv_ora_mnt
    rgmanager[6056]: [clusterfs] mount -t gfs2 -o rw,noatime,nodiratime,localflocks,hostdata=jid=0 /dev/dm-6 /lv_ora_mnt
    gfs_controld[2912]: join: jid, first and id are reserved options
    rgmanager[6131]: [clusterfs] mounting /dev/dm-6 on /lv_ora_mnt
    rgmanager[6153]: [clusterfs] mount -t gfs2 -o rw,noatime,nodiratime,localflocks,hostdata=jid=0 /dev/dm-6 /lv_ora_mnt
    gfs_controld[2912]: join: jid, first and id are reserved options
    rgmanager[3047]: start on clusterfs "fs1" returned 1 (generic error)
    rgmanager[3047]: #68: Failed to start service:ser1; return value: 1
    rgmanager[3047]: Stopping service service:ser1
