NFS Client performance issues, such as very slow write times, I/O causing hanging are observed.

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • NFS Client hanging up and very slow write times are observed. Mount seems to be fine on other RHEL clients. If the NFS server is mounted using UDP it does not seem to be slow.

  • it takes 19 minutes to write a 2GB file to an Isolon NAS. Read from isolon and write to a local disk takes 1.5 Min for the same 2GB file.
