Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • We have a x86 server board that has no disk (diskless).
  • We don't want to use nfs mount for any root device.
  • We created a ramdisk including all files required on their system.
  • How can we boot the system? What is the boot parameter needed?

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
