Placing host in maintenance through the RHV-M API fails with error 'Operation not permitted' then 'Unsynced entries present' when same task is retried multiple times

Issue

  • In a hyperconverged cluster with multiple hosts, removing a host from Maintenance through the RHV-M API with Stop Gluster service option enabled, then placing another host in Maintenance, fails with the following error.

    Operation not permitted
    
  • Repeating the same task again results in the following error.

    Unsynced entries present
    
  • A manual check of the Gluster healing status reveals no no unsynced entries present.
