How can I perform kickstart install or provide kickstart file path in Red Hat Enterprise Linux? Why I can not see boot: prompt in the same?

boot: linux ks=<path_to_kickstart_file>

But in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6, a different behaviour is seen during installation. At the first timing of boot from install media , there is no boot: prompt and anaconda shows anaconda boot menu instead of boot: prompt.
