Apache resource is reported as unavailable in JON due to "java.net.SocketException: Unexpected end of file from server"

Issue

  • JON console is showing that Apache instance test.com:8086 is down;
  • Unable to monitor the server status from JON;

  • Agent's log file shows the following error:

    An error occurred while attempting to read response from HEAD to [http://test.com:8086].
java.net.SocketException: Unexpected end of file from server

Environment

  • Red Hat JBoss Operations Network (JON) 3.3.12
  • Apache 2.4;
  • Apache HTTP Server resource has been imported into JON inventory;
