SoapUI does not send client certificate to CXF application

Issue

A CXF SOAP application requires that clients' SSL/TLS certificates be verified. When creating a new SOAP project using SoapUI to test this application, SoapUI does not send any client certificate when attempting to load the initial WSDL. A SoapUI project is created, but it is dysfunctional.

Setting the appropriate keystore, containing the client certificate, on the SoapUI project still does not allow WSDL to be retrieved.

If SSL debugging is enabled on the CXF application, it will show that the client has sent an empty certificate chain.
