nscd attempting to read non-existant '/etc/netgroup'

Issue

  • After upgrading to nscd-2.12-1.132.el6.x86_64 nscd is printing the following error to /var/log/messages:
nscd: 14346 cannot stat() file `/etc/netgroup': No such file or directory
nscd: 1681 cannot stat() file `/etc/netgroup': No such file or directory
nscd: 1564 cannot stat() file `/etc/netgroup': No such file or directory

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.5
  • nscd-2.12-1.132.el6.x86_64
