Interlagos CPU information under /proc/cpuinfo not correct in 32bit versions of RHEL5

Issue

  • Interlagos processors may report incorrect information under 32bit installs of supported versions of RHEL5.

Environment

  • RHEL5.7+
  • X86 (32bit) versions only

Diagnoses

  • To determine if an Interlagos-based system is encountering this issue, simply use the "cat" command to list out the contents of /proc/cpuinfo.
  • Results on a 8 core processor will typically show as follows:
