Missing aspell-en dictionary: No word lists can be found for the language en_US

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Installed aspell rpm

      yum install aspell

  • And then tried cheking for spelling suggestions:

      aspell check /tmp/example

  • Getting the following error:

      Error: No word lists can be found for the language "en_US".

  • aspell-en package is not available in RHEL 6 RHN channels ?

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
