RHOCP 4.x Compliance Operator Ephemeral Disk feature

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • The Compliance Operator (CO) generates and stores the raw results in a persistent volume. These results are in the Asset Reporting Format (ARF).
  • The CO creates one Persistent Volume (PV) and Persistent Volume Claim (PVC) per scan to store the full ARF results and uses a configmap to store the XCCDF "short" results.
  • There is no possibility to skip the usage of the PV/PVC, which store the raw results of the scans and retrieve only the "short" results available as a configmap.

Environment

  • Red Hat Openshift Container Platform (RHOCP)
    • <=4.10
  • Compliance Operator (CO)
