Are LDAP users automatically assigned to a JBoss ON role that already has their LDAP group assigned?

Issue

  • We created a JON Role and assigned an LDAP Group to the role. When a user (member of the LDAP group) logs in, he/she is not recognised as an LDAP user and there are no resources listed in the JON Dashboard. If we add LDAP User into "Assigned Users" (JON UI -> Administrator -> Roles -> JON LDAP Role) the user will be recognised as LDAP user.  What are we doing wrong?

  • Can LDAP users be automatically assigned to a JON LDAP Role (JON Role with LDAP group assigned)?

Environment

  • JBoss Operations Network (ON) 2.4.1, 2.4.2, 3.0, 3.0.1, 3.1, 3.1.1, 3.1.2, 3.2.0
  • LDAP authorization
  • LDAP group has been assigned to a JBoss ON role
