Loopback prevention fails with mlx5_core network devices

Issue

  • Loopback prevention on ConnectX-5/6 cards does not work. Testing using the upstream mckey tool shows that after 10 messages are sent by the sender the receiver exits even though -l was provided, indicating loopback prevention does not work

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8
  • Mellanox ConnectX-5 and ConnectX-6 cards
