Receiving "create_mem_context failed" error when httpd startup hangs.

Issue

  • httpd startup hangs with following errors in httpd_error logs:

    [Mon Nov 14 22:10:00 2011] [notice] suEXEC mechanism enabled (wrapper: /usr/sbin/suexec)
[Mon Nov 14 22:10:00 2011] [emerg] create_mem_context failed
Configuration Failed
[Mon Nov 14 22:12:43 2011] [notice] suEXEC mechanism enabled (wrapper: /usr/sbin/suexec)
[Mon Nov 14 22:12:43 2011] [emerg] create_mem_context failed
Configuration Failed
[Mon Nov 14 22:19:05 2011] [notice] suEXEC mechanism enabled (wrapper: /usr/sbin/suexec)
[Mon Nov 14 22:19:05 2011] [emerg] create_mem_context failed
Configuration Failed

  • Getting error while Apache restart - create_mem_context failed.
