IPP Printers are being disabled

Issue

The physical printers stop printing. The jobs for the printers are still shown in lpstat, and the printer is shown as enabled and "now printing", but the physical printer does not print anything. After several minutes, the printers are disabled even though we have the printer error-policy set to "retry-current-job". The error code returned by lpstat is:

printer lp07 disabled since Wed 15 Dec 2021 09:29:34 AM CET -
        Print job was not accepted.

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
  • Common Unix Printing System (CUPS)
