ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH for Openshift secure route

Issue

  • SSL enabled route when accessed using a browser shows ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH error.
  • curl to the Openshift route throws the following error:

    * NSS error -12286 (SSL_ERROR_NO_CYPHER_OVERLAP)
    * Cannot communicate securely with peer: no common encryption algorithm(s).
    * Closing connection 0
    curl: (35) Cannot communicate securely with peer: no common encryption algorithm(s).
    
  • AMQ web console is inaccessible with ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH error.
