Issue

  • Adding Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 or 8 machines to the OpenShift Container Platform 4.x cluster, one needs to utilize the ansible playbooks (Ansible engine pkg can be installed though channel rhel-7-server-ansible-2.9-rpms)

  • Does Ansible Engine 2.9 EOL on December 31, 2021 affect adding Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7/8 machines to RHOCP4.x cluster as compute nodes using ansible playbooks? And will Red Hat provide any technical support for the issues appearing with respect to ansible playbooks execution while following this procedure?
