How to configure a Forward Proxy to be used with Red Hat Single Sign-On (RH SSO) in OpenShift Container Platform (OCP)?

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Our RH SSO 7.X instance is deployed and running on OpenShift in our corporate data center behind a web proxy (Forward Proxy). That means, all http(s) requests must be routed via the internal web proxy. Because of that, adding some Internet provider via xml / OIDC Enpdoint doesn't work because the provider information can't be requested from the Internet.

  • We already have added proxy for RH SSO under /path/to/proxy.env but its not working.

Environment

  • Red Hat Single Sign-On (RH SSO)
    • 7.X
  • OpenShift Container Platform (OCP)
    • 3.11
    • 4.X
