Unable to start netbackup on RHEL 6.

Issue

  • Getting the below error while connecting to netbackup client server, even after the library file is installed. The server is recently installed with RHEL 6.1.

    # cat /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/version
    NetBackup-RedHat2.6 6.5.4
    
# rpm -qa |grep -i libstdc++
libstdc++-4.4.5-6.el6.x86_64
compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-69.el6.x86_64
compat-libstdc++-296-2.96-144.el6.i686
# telnet server173 bpcd
Trying 192.168.2.173...
Connected to server173.example.com.

bpcd: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Connection to server173.example.com closed by foreign host.
