Elasticsearch does not start when FIPS is enabled in OCP 4

Issue

  • Elasticsearch pods fail to start after updating to OpenShift-logging 5.2.3-31 when FIPS is enabled with the error below

    $ oc -n openshift-logging  logs <elasticsearch pod> -c elasticsearch
...
keytool error: java.io.IOException: parseAlgParameters failed: PBE AlgorithmParameters not available
