Overcloud deployment failed because of failure to set node power state to power on

Issue

  • Deployment failed at some overcloud nodes.

  • The following message was left in nova-compute.log of Director node.

    ERROR oslo.service.loopingcall [-] Fixed interval looping call 'nova.virt.ironic.driver.IronicDriver._wait_for_active' failed: nova.exception.InstanceDeployFailure: Failed to provision instance aaaaaaaa-aaaa-aaaa-aaaa-aaaaaaaaaaaa: Error rebooting node bbbbbbbb-bbbb-bbbb-bbbb-bbbbbbbbbbbb after deploy. PowerStateFailure: Failed to set node power state to power on.
