Need to be able to specify resource exclusion criteria for a resource group in JON

Issue

  • Problem isolating permissions for a shared environment
  • When new server is imported it is automatically added to group
  • Is there some way to prevent resources added to a platform from being added to the group?
  • There is no way to remove a server resource from a recursive group.
  • If the group is configured as not recursive, is there a way to easily add a server and its embedded resources to a platform group?

Environment

  • Red Hat JBoss Operations Network (ON) 3.1, 3.2

  • Creating a recursive resource group containing a parent resource based on criteria for one of its child resources but excluding resources that meet or do not meet a specific criteria - For example:

    Application Group 01 = (
    (all platforms resources that contain a child JBoss EAP server resource type who's name ENDS WITH 'app01') 
    AND (the platform's child CPUs resource type) 
    AND (the platform's child File Systmes resource type) 
    AND (the platform's child Network Adapters resource type) 
    AND (the platform's child JBoss EAP servers resource type who's name ENDS WITH 'app01')
)
