Setting "MaxJobTime 0" in RHEL 8 may result in canceled print jobs

Issue

  • We have set "MaxJobTime 0" so that print jobs aren't cancelled due to taking a long time to complete, but jobs are being canceled immediately.

  • According to the documentation:

    MaxJobTime seconds

Specifies the maximum time a job may take to print before it is canceled. Set to "0" to disable cancellation of "stuck" jobs. The default is "10800" (3 hours).

    but setting "MaxJobTime 0" may cause jobs to be canceled immediately.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8.0-8.5
  • Common Unix Printing System (CUPS) 2.2.6-40
