Issue

  • ram_allocation_ratio of nova.conf is set to 1.0.

    ram_allocation_ratio=1.0

  • Looking at /proc/meminfo, memory overcommit seems to occur.

    MemTotal:       790978344 kB
MemFree:        160761756 kB
MemAvailable:   243947436 kB

CommitLimit:    399683472 kB
Committed_AS:   837184380 kB <=== Committed_AS is larger than MemTotal.
