Shrink a thin provisioned disk in RHV
Issue
- We want to reduce the space used by a thin provisioned disk.
- The disk is stored in a block-based storage domain.
- After deleting data in the guest OS, the virtual disk doesn't free up the space in the storage domain.
Environment
- Red Hat Virtualization (RHV) 4.4
- Thin provisioned virtual disks.
- Block-based storage (FC, iSCSI).
