Should gfs_tool reclaim be run regularly on GFS1 filesystems to reclaim metadata blocks?
Issue
- According to this document GFS1 allocated metadata blocks dynamically but doesn't convert them to free data blocks automatically.
- If this is true couldn't the filesystem fill up with metadata blocks?
- Shouldn't a
gfs_toolreclaim be run on the filesystem regularly to prevent this?

- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
- Red Hat Global Filesystem
