- Virtual IP (VIP) or clustered IP resource does not always fail over with VMware NSX
- Moving the HA (High Availability) VIP from one NFS server to another, sometimes clients experience a delay of up to 30 minutes before traffic works again
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- Red Hat High Availability Add-on or other cluster software
- VMware NSX distributed firewall (DFW)
- IP address which moves between systems (VIP or Virtual IP resource)
- Network service using the IP resource such as NFS or ISCSI or other clustered resource
