Various CIFS mount fail at boot time fine when mounted manually

Issue

When I reboot the server various (a few out of the ones configured in fstab (no pattern) ) fail to mount. They all mount fine using mount -a

Aug  4 16:04:29 server systemd[1]: Failed to mount /mnt/data/mount1.
Aug  4 16:04:29 server systemd[1]: Failed to mount /mnt/data/mount2.
Aug  4 16:04:29 server systemd[1]: Failed to mount /mnt/data/mount3.
Aug  4 16:04:29 server systemd[1]: Failed to mount /mnt/data/mount4.
Aug  4 16:04:29 server systemd[1]: Failed to mount /mnt/data/mount5.
...
Aug 04 15:49:11 server systemd[1]: Mounting /mnt/data/mount1...
Aug 04 15:49:12 server mount[1280]: mount error(2): No such file or directory
Aug 04 15:49:12 server mount[1280]: Refer to the mount.cifs(8) manual page (e.g. man mount.cifs) and kernel log messages (dmesg)
Aug 04 15:49:12 server systemd[1]: mnt-data-mount1.mount: Mount process exited, code=exited status=32
Aug 04 15:49:12 server systemd[1]: mnt-data-mount1.mount: Failed with result 'exit-code'.
Aug 04 15:49:12 server systemd[1]: Failed to mount /mnt/data/mount1.
