OCP 4.8 baremetal IPI installation with ipv6 is not working

Issue

  • IPv6 address to RHCOS nodes on OCP 4.8 with DHCP is not working.
  • We are using DHCP & dhcpv6 to configure ipv4 and ipv6. and we can see ipv4 is working fine, but ipv6 is not working. It is not assigning the ipv6 address to RHCOS cluster nodes.
  • The baremetal network is using ipv6 IPs only and the bootstrap vm never gets an ipv6 IP from the dhcpv6 server.

  • Red Hat Openshift Container Platform 4.8
