Issue

  • When using a Match statement in /etc/ssh/sshd_config, testing the config will return an error unless the "-C" option is used to specify a user.
# sshd -T
'Match Group' in configuration but 'user' not in connection test specification

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 9
  • openssh-8.0*
