Issue

  • Executing the following command results in the following error:

    # hammer host errata apply \
  --errata-ids "RHSA-2019:3197,RHSA-2020:1022" \
  --host contenthost.example.com
[.............................................................] [100%]
Error: Host did not respond within 20 seconds. The task has been cancelled. Is katello-agent installed and goferd running on the Host?
  • Katello-agent is deprecated since Satellite 6.7.  How can we run the above command so that it uses remote execution?

Environment

  • Satellite 6.9 (and possibly lesser versions)
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux host.
