How to configure the portal root password in JBoss Portal 6.x

Issue

  • After removing $JBOSS_HOME/standalone/data and $JBOSS_HOME/standalone/tmp directories, JBoss Portal shows root password setup page.
    How to configure the Portal Root Password statically?
  • I deployed quickstarts/sample-portal and accessed http://localhost:8080/sample-portal/. As a root password configuration form is shown, I entered it and got redirected to: http://localhost:8080/sample-portal/setupaction
    only to get a 404:
JBWEB000309: type JBWEB000067: Status report
JBWEB000068: message
JBWEB000069: description JBWEB000124: The requested resource is not available.

and this on the console:

10:53:44,873 ERROR [org.exoplatform.web.WebAppController] (http-localhost/127.0.0.1:8080-1) Could not associate the request path=/setupaction with an handler
