Solution In Progress - Updated -

Issue

  • VM has been configured with a Thin Provision disk and has a snapshot.
  • VM is shutdown to allow the copy of the disk to a different storage domain.
  • From RHV-M UI -> Storage -> Disks, the VM disk is selected and the copy is started by clicking the COPY button.
  • The copy of the disk operation completes and the VM disk that was copied to other storage domains shows status in OK state however the Status of the VM disk remains in Locked state
  • VM will not start due the locked disk and the following error is reported on the RHV-M UI.
Error while executing action:

TEST_VM:

Cannot run VM: The following disks are locked: TEST_VM_Disk2. Please try again in a few minutes.
