Setting up MultiClusterObservability does not find expected deployment

Solution In Progress - Updated -

  • After upgrading Red Hat Advanced Cluster Manager (RHACM) to 2.3.1 setting up MultiClusterObservability does not work as expected. When setting it up, the installation is stuck in progress, with the following messages:

    - lastTransitionTime: "2021-08-11T08:19:04Z"
      message: Installation is in progress
      reason: Installing
      status: "True"
      type: Installing
    - lastTransitionTime: "2021-08-11T08:19:04Z"
message: Failed to found expected deployment observability-grafana
      reason: DeploymentNotFound
      status: "False"
      type: Failed

However the deployment in the namespace is named grafana not observability-grafana:

    NAME READY UP-TO-DATE AVAILABLE AGE
    grafana 2/2 2 2 22h
    observability-observatorium-observatorium-api 2/2 2 2 22h
