kdump warning to increase reserved memory

Issue

  • When I restart kdump under RHEL6 it always comes up with this message:
  • And, this is the problem I'm seeing when I've got crashkernel=auto which prompted me to find out how to tune it:
  • on systems that have a lots for pcie cards with ixgbe driver ... the checking scripts is not right:

Your running kernel is using more than 70% of the amount of space you reserved for kdump, you should consider increasing your crashkernel reservation [WARNING]
