Httpd yum update fails with "error: unpacking of archive failed "

Issue

• yum update fails with one of the following errors:

      Loaded plugins: enabled_repos_upload, langpacks, package_upload, product-id, search-disabled-repos, subscription-manager
      Error unpacking rpm package httpd-2.4.6-97.el7_9.x86_64
      error: unpacking of archive failed on file /etc/httpd/logs: cpio: rename

      httpd-2.4.6-67.el7_4.6.x86_64 was supposed to be removed but is not!
