nscd dead but subsys locked
Issue
- Server (out of around 100) every one week or so causes login issues and takes about 30min or so to login.
- To resolve the issue, once login to that server and stop the nscd daemon and then everything comes back to normal state.
-
All the servers are running same OS installed from same kickstart image and hardware is also same but its causing problem on one server only.
-
Some preliminary information from that server:
[root@server1 ~]# nscd -V
nscd (GNU libc) 2.5
