Why doesn't samba show all directories on windows?

  • Why doesn't samba show all directories on windows?
  • Exact problem of acess the windows files through samba

I have a samba share set up.  I can see all the folders from windows but the two I set up myself(u1 and log)  and can see all the other folders like /etc/proc/tmp, etc. under the root('/') path.  u1 and and log are set up in /etc/fstab and do come up every time the server is rebooted.
