RH-SSO pod flooding with WFLYMETRICS0003 error

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • We have deployed red hat sso on OCP 4.7 using the RH-SSO Operator version 7.4.7
    Deploying a minimal keycloak installation with no extra configuration results in the keycloak pod flooding the logs with the following error:
•[0m•[33m07:04:31,302 WARN [io.smallrye.metrics] (management I/O-1) Unable to export metric wildfly_infinispan_activations: java.lang.IllegalStateException: WFLYMETRICS0003: Unable to read attribute activations on [
("subsystem" => "infinispan"),
("cache-container" => "keycloak"),
("cache" => "authorizationRevisions")
]: "WFLYCTL0158: Operation handler failed: org.jboss.msc.service.ServiceNotFoundException: Service service org.wildfly.clustering.infinispan.cache.keycloak.authorizationRevisions not found".

Above results in the openshift logging stack filling up the elasticsearch instance storage and firing critical alerts.

Environment

  • Red Hat Single Sign-On (RH-SSO)
    • 7.4.7
  • Openshift Container Platform (OCP)
    • 4.x
