PCI card does not work after update to Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.4
Issue
- A PCI serial adapter does not work after a kernel update to version 4.18.0-305
- Interrupts for PCI cards are not working after the upgrade, previously it was working fine.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.4 and above
- kernel-4.18.0-246.el8.x86_64 and above
- PCI serial adapter (observed with a device based on Oxford 952 chipset, other devices may be also impacted)
- Custom PCI cards
- Abaco PCI card
- Intel Xeon E5-2680 v3/v4
