HTTPS port configured for 443 but binds to 8443

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • I've set up a https port to bind to port 443:
          <Connector protocol="HTTP/1.1" SSLEnabled="true" 
           port="443" address="${jboss.bind.address}"
           scheme="https" secure="true" clientAuth="false" 
           keystoreFile="${jboss.server.home.dir}/conf/chap8.keystore"
           keystorePass="rmi+ssl" sslProtocol = "TLS" />

    but the server is still actually binding to port 8443 for https instead:

    INFO  [Http11Protocol] Starting Coyote HTTP/1.1 on http-127.0.0.1-8443

Environment

  • JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP) 5
  • RHEL
