NullPointerException when connect to database using images based on OpenJDK 8 image

Issue

  • When upgrade to registry.redhat.io/redhat-openjdk-18/openjdk18-openshift:1.8-26, the following error was observed in the log:

    Error 
Caused by: javax.security.auth.login.LoginException: java.lang.NullPointerException: invalid null input: name
at com.sun.security.auth.UnixPrincipal.<init>(UnixPrincipal.java:71)
at com.sun.security.auth.module.UnixLoginModule.login(UnixLoginModule.java:133)

    this error does not throw when using the version 1.8.25.
